In 2008, we were privileged to partner with the New York State Department of Education as a Community Based Organization, and have incorporated all aspects of their Universal Prekindergarten program in our school. The PreK for All program (PKA) complements and enhances the vision of our school, which is to focus on the development and learning of the whole child. Additionally, the PreK for All program introduced us to the concept of having our curriculum evolve from the New York State Prekindergarten Learning Standards.  In 2021, Judi’s Nursery was contracted as a 3K center as well.

Both our 3K and PreK for All programs, in accordance with the changes made by the New York State Department of Education, have eagerly embraced the NYS Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core, which is eminently compatible with the philosophy of our school.  We place an emphasis on high quality curriculum, developmentally appropriate learning experiences and instructions, and well designed and engaging classrooms. Our assessments are now based on the Work Sampling System Developmental Guidelines.  Our administration and staff members possess an intrinsic understanding of how children learn, and the importance of an enriched curriculum, and continuously train in the foundation and implementation of the 3K/PKA program as we follow their unit curriculum structure.  Most importantly, we educate our parents, as well as our children, so they can partner in fostering the learning and development of the whole child after the child leaves school.
